Fraserburgh Golf Club

Fraserburgh Golf Club was founded on 14th April 1777 which makes it the 5th oldest club in Scotland, and the 7th oldest club in the world. Indeed Fraserburgh Golf Club claims to be the oldest golf club in the World still operating under its original name.
The course was later redesigned by the five times open champion James Braid in 1922 the course is a good yet fair test of golf. The fairways are well separated by seaside grasses and many species of rare wild flowers flourish including the Northern Marsh Orchid.
The Rosehill 9 hole course is more parkland by nature. It is a par 66, standard scratch 63 but still provides a good test of golfing skills. Ideal for beginners and the older golfer.

Fraserburgh is a first-rate links course, challenging without being overbearing, and very enjoyable. The course is not overly long, and the fairways are mostly generous. But smallish greens and exacting approach shots provide a good test to your game. No. 4 is a terrific short par 4, with an approach shot as testing as you'll find. The four par 3s are all good tests. Overall, an outstanding course, and well worth the trip to Fraserburgh. The clubhouse is welcoming and features a wonderful trophy display case.
