Short Breaks in Scotland, there is no better place to enjoy a Scottish short break than
Portsoy
, in Aberdeenshire, which is situated right on the Moray Firth Coast where there is an abundance of things
to see and do.
The Moray Firth has some of the finest coastal scenery anywhere in Scotland and from Portsoy
you can enjoy it to the full with some breathtaking clifftop walks.
This coast has an abundance of wildlife where whale and dolphin sightings are very common. Indeed there were
more recorded sightings in 2006 then ever before.
The Moray Firth is home to about 130 bottlenosed
dolphins,
and the hotel can arrange for you to take a boat trip to see them.
During your short break you can also visit the Grampian Castle Trail which is the only Castle trail in Scotland. Some of the most outstanding castles in Scotland are part of this, including Duff House which contains a wonderful art collection and Fyvie Castle which is one of Scotlands great baronial fortress palaces.
