Short breaks in Scotland

Short Breaks in Scotland, there is no better place to enjoy a Scottish short break than Portsoy , in Aberdeenshire, which is situated right on the Moray Firth Coast where there is an abundance of things to see and do.
The Moray Firth has some of the finest coastal scenery anywhere in Scotland and from Portsoy you can enjoy it to the full with some breathtaking clifftop walks. This coast has an abundance of wildlife where whale and dolphin sightings are very common. Indeed there were more recorded sightings in 2006 then ever before.
The Moray Firth is home to about 130 bottlenosed dolphins, and the hotel can arrange for you to take a boat trip to see them.

During your short break you can also visit the Grampian Castle Trail which is the only Castle trail in Scotland. Some of the most outstanding castles in Scotland are part of this, including Duff House which contains a wonderful art collection and Fyvie Castle which is one of Scotlands great baronial fortress palaces.

There are many other things to see and do during a short break to Portsoy, have a look at our Visitor Attractions pages to find out more.
An important part of any short break, particularly in Scotland, is the quality of meals. Here at the Station Hotel we pride ourselves out the quality of food. Dinner is a three course a-la-carte meal, with free choice from our evening meal and specials board. The only restriction is a slight surcharge for steak dishes.
