The speyside malt whisky trail is the only whisky trail sanctioned by Visit Scotland,
and Portsoy is ideally located to visit all or part of it.

The
Glenglassuagh Distillery,
right here in Portsoy, was re-opened in 2008, following completion of
a major refurbishment project.
The visitor centre is due to open in 2010, but the hotel can organize small private tours, at the end of which
there will be a tutored tasting, which will include the 21 year old and the 30 year old
Highland Single Malt Whiskies.
